The Sutter Buttes are privately owned except for a State Park without public access. The only public access is through hikes with the The Middle Mountain Hike Organization.
THE SCHAEFFER RANCH:
The Schaeffer Ranch is on the north end of the Sutter Buttes. Along with many magnificent rock formations the ranch has many interesting large boulders, cairns and other stone lines throughout the ranch.
THE DEAN RANCH:
Located in the Northern part of the Buttes.
